Last week, I was sooo lucky to get to work in Los Angeles, CA all week (seriously, I have the BEST clients)!
We stayed in Santa Monica, walked the pier at sunset, ate at yummy places like Seasalt, found the QUIETEST library in the country (where we sounded like a stampede of elephants just walking through), had sample soups affectionately forced upon us at Mendocino Farms, designed concepts at maddening speeds and THEN...I was on vacay with my sis!
She flew in for the weekend, and we stayed at the cutest little bungalow surrounded by lush succulents, beach bikes and friendly faces, watched "The Office" on a projector, made s'mores over a fire, saw a Van Gogh and Monet at The Getty, hiked to beautiful views at The Griffith Observatory (La La Land!), walked Venice Beach, didn't take enough pix, slept in every day, met sooo many interesting Uber drivers and bought my first fedora!
My favorite things? The warmth (of course) but more than that, the diversity at Venice boardwalk and hearing so many different languages spoken everywhere we went. It was a beautiful reminder that America is a wonderful melting pot. Check out some of the pix I DID take below :)
