This year has brought A LOT of brainstorm sessions and workshops. I’ve been fortunate to work with some great minds over at WatersonGarner, Hyperquake, P&G, Illumination and LPK this past year, and there’s nothing I love more than traveling and learning something new with all of these guys!
The workshops are always fun! I love being a part of the big thinking with the teams, getting to know consumers and their behaviors on a deep psychological level, and getting to hear so many different viewpoints about different brands—every session is eye-opening. The moderators are usually up on all the latest trends and trends-forecasting, and most of these workshops are for innovation, so I get the inside scoop!
Going to all of these workshops also means doing a lot of Keynote work for me! I know what you’re thinking… ”oh gawd! working in Keynote must be boring!” but actually! It’s so much fun!
The biggest learning for me (besides the trends and behavioral science) is that designing presentation decks DOES NOT have to be boring, and presentations definitely don’t have to look fugly!
Presentation decks should be as smart and as beautiful as any print piece. A presentation is often the first catalyst to inspire teams of people to move forward on an idea. It NEEDS to be impactful, emotional, intelligent and above all, intuitive. The power of design is what drives me to blow the minds of the audience every time they see their ideas brought to life.
That is what we at MANMAN bring to everything, even a presentation design. We put our all into every project!
