Halloween popup stores (like Halloween Express and Spirit Halloween) are everywhere right now (I just yawned a little). If you're like me and like to shop somewhere a little more unique and authentic, you may want to try one of these local hidden gems!
BONUS: Free Halloween printables below! Including a spooky sign and bat/ghost/web cutouts.
Costume Gallery has an endless selection of designed-for-theatre costumes for rent (SO LEGIT!). Spend the same amount as a mainstream store but have a high-quality, one-of-a-kind costume you'll be proud of (PLUS they'll even negotiate on rental prices!). With everything from an astronaut costume (with a totally real helmet!) to Revolutionary War–style costumes (my niece recently had a Hamilton-themed birthday bash), you gotta check this one out!
Theatre House specializes in everything you need for a performance. They have tons of costumes you can check out right on their website, plus makeup, props, wigs and more! They even carry an array of material you can use to make your own costume if that's your thing!
This unique store sells antiques, collectibles and boutique gifts plus artisan, hand-crafted items. And they have a lot of great Halloween and fall decor. We recently picked up a GIANT iron cauldron (anyone want some brew?!) for our upcoming party!
You might not think to go to an antique store for costumes, but they can be great places to find unique outfits and unusual decor. This store in historic Bellevue, KY is packed to the brim (heehee) with goodies!!
