My parents have decided to sell our family's childhood home, it's a bittersweet time for our whole family. There's so many memories that flood back when I visit there, all of us playing baseball in the backyard, swimming in the pool for days (lol), growing up and sharing a room with my sister, my parent's greenhouse business, playing basketball with my brothers, cheering on my dad racing go-carts, camp-outs, fires, friends, bike rides, four-wheeling, playing in the creek and how having a forest behind your house makes everyday feel like an adventure just waiting to happen. I miss having those country-life opportunities just waiting for me in my own backyard. However, our whole family lives in the Cincinnati area now and the house doesn't get used enough that it's worth keeping. So it's time to pass this gem onto some other lucky family!
The Smedley house sets on beautifully landscaped property (my parent's owned a greenhouse business for 10 years) with land as far as you can see, stretching back to overgrown fields, forests and a creek. All of the trees are huge now, surrounding the property and making it feel like a little oasis in the country. It also has a huge storage building with a covered back porch overlooking the backyard below, a huge pool with a dark wood custom-built deck that leads up to the house and also overlooks the backyard below. A giant 20 ft-high garage built by my dad and brothers and so much property on either side of them that you forget you even have neighbors.
